03/20/06 – Wanderlogic achieves THX certification.

The THX Certified Home Theater Education Program provides professional training on THX technologies and advanced home theater design. The program is divided into two distinct levels of THX certification — Technician I and Technician II. The Technician I program provides sales professionals and home theater enthusiasts with an overview of the THX certification principles. Lasting a full day, the Tech I coursework is designed to introduce students to the theories and principles of THX certification.

The THX Tech I certification is also a prerequisite for the Tech II level, which provides more intense training on room acoustics and design, treatments and isolation, and audio-video hardware selection and equipment placement. The Tech II coursework spans two full days, and includes a hands-on workshop detailing system setup and audio calibration. Technicians who successfully complete the THX Certified Technician training courses are provided a THX Certified Technician identification card and listed in the THX Technician Directory at THX.com.

In addition to the Tech I and II levels of THX certification, there is also a more advanced THX Certified Engineer classification. This certification is granted to exceptional THX Certified Technicians: those who have impressive design resumes, have completed both the THX Certified Technician I and II programs, and have demonstrated an ability to design and calibrate THX Certified Home Theaters.
